By releasing the Spectre, its first entirely electric vehicle, Rolls-Royce has officially made its entrance into the rapidly expanding EV market. The Spectre, according to the British luxury car maker, “demonstrates how wonderfully Rolls-Royce is adapted to electrification” and ushers in an all-electric era for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
The brand has disclosed that in order to meet the demands of the most discerning customers in the world, the Spectre underwent the most thorough testing procedure Rolls-Royce has ever carried out. A voyage covering more than 2.5 million kilometres will be finished by the Spectre in 2023.
The Spectre is what Rolls-Royce refers to as a “Ultra-Luxury Electric Super Coupe,” and the company claims it is the best EV available. The electric vehicle will replace the Phantom Coupe. Regarding the Spectre’s design, the I7 and the most recent 7-Series appear to have been design inspirations for the split headlamps at the front end, which is where the BMW influence is most obvious.
The firm has chosen to keep the iconic Rolls-Royce grille on the vehicle, which features a dual-tone design. The back is identical, and based just on appearance, it would be difficult to identify the Spectre as an electric vehicle. But it’s obvious because of the 23-inch alloy wheel design, which is the largest ever offered on a Rolls-Royce vehicle.

The interior of any Rolls Royce vehicle can be completely customised with countless personalised options. Power, acceleration, and range data are still being “fine-tuned,” according to the manufacturer, but we do have approximations. According to the WLTP test cycle, the Spectre should have an all-electric range of roughly 520 kilometres. A huge 900 Nm of peak torque and 577 horsepower are predicted from the electric motor. This will aid the powerful electric Rolls’ 4.5-second sprint from 0 to 100 km/h.
Bookings for the Spectre are currently available, according to Rolls Royce, and deliveries are scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2019. The Spectre EV will be priced between between the Cullinan and the Phantom.
