In the Indian market, BYD has recently introduced a new electric vehicle model. The Atto 3, an electric SUV that was previously hinted to by the manufacturer and is now officially unveiled in the area, is the new EV. Let’s have a look, then.
A permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that generates 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque powers the new Atto 3 SUV. A Blade battery pack with a capacity of 60.48 kWh powers this engine. The electric SUV can even accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds using technology. The new Atto 3 model also provides a 521-kilometer maximum range that has been verified by ARAI.
A Type 2 (7kW) AC charger takes about 10 hours to fully charge the device, whereas an 80kW DC fast charger just needs 50 minutes to power it up to 80%. The business will also provide a 3kW portable charging box and a 7kW home charger.
The Chinese automaker offers a 12.8-inch spinning centre screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the interiors. A panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, a wireless phone charger, power front passenger and driver seats, multi-colored ambient lighting, and many other features are also included. A variety of safety measures are also included with the electric SUV, including ADAS technology, a 360-degree camera, ABS, ESC, traction control, hill descent control, and seven airbags.
The starting pricing for the BYD Atto 3 in India is 33.99 lakh Indian Rupees (ex-showroom), or around 41,825 US Dollars. Additionally, it will provide clients with a free 3 year 4G data subscription, 6 years of roadside support, and 6 years of maintenance services.
