How did the romance of Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico develop?
After nearly two years of a covert affair, Miss Argentina Mariana Varela and Miss Puerto Rico Fabiola Valentin startled the world on Thursday by announcing their marriage.
On Instagram, the couple announced their engagement and said the wedding was scheduled for October 28.
We opened our doors to you on a special day after deciding to keep our relationship secret, the couple stated in an Instagram post.
Along with the statement, they also posted pictures from the occasion and videos from their honeymoon, which featured beach sunsets and a bed covered with rose petals that read, “I love you.”
Additionally, they uploaded a picture, maybe from the night they got engaged, showing a room decorated with candles, balloons, and the words “marry me” inscribed on the window.
On the day of their wedding, they are seen holding hands in front of a courthouse in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as the video comes to a conclusion.
For the two beauty pageant participants, it was love at first sight.
Several of the couple’s Miss Grand International 2020 [MGI] coworkers sent their congratulations to the newlyweds after the announcement.
According to Hola Magazine, the newlyweds first met at the MGI beauty pageant and immediately fell in love.
Varela, 26, was a top 10 finalist in MGI 2020 and the 2019 Miss Universe Argentina competition.
Valentin, 22, finished in the top 10 at MGI and was one of the top three finalists for Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019.
Abena Appiah, the winner of Miss America, won the competition, which finished in March 2021.
Both beauty queens shared photos with one other on their separate social media accounts after the competition, but most people assumed they were merely best friends.
