The Google Home app might provide a new Chromecast with Google TV. Just a few months after its release, a fresh leak suggests this feature. The Google Home app received a preview update that included the new dongle.
According to the app preview, the new Google Chromecast dongle comes with a new Google TV gadget called YTC. The Chromecast with Google TV (HD) had the codename YTB, while the original Chromecast with Google TV had the codename YTV. The implication from the disclosed codename is that the item will be a new Chromecast with Google TV model.
Google Home App Demo
Outside of the Google Home app demo, not much is known about the impending dongle. It might still be in the development stage, but it’s anticipated to be a high-end product that will outperform Chromecast HD. In addition, the current Chromecast, which was released in 2020, needs to be updated.
The new dongle is rumoured to support AV1 decoding as a new Google standard. Additionally, the smartphone will probably have a stronger chipset than its predecessor. Storage and other features will also get an upgrade.
The leaked Chromecast with Google TV has not yet been officially announced by Google. This is not the first instance of a Google product leaking ahead of time. Therefore, in the future weeks, we should receive more information on the upcoming dongle’s availability.
The new device’s price and availability information will also be made available later. The fact that the product’s precise delivery date is unknown, though, still raises questions. Additionally, this can just be a hearsay that the business has no intention of investigating.
