By completing the sustainability drive programme, the new e6 just joined the India Book of Records for the farthest distance driven in an electric vehicle, 2203 km.
Over 450 e6 eMPVs have been delivered across India, according to BYD India. Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, and Kochi have all seen the introduction of the BYD electric vehicle. In addition, BYD India is selecting dealer partners in Kolkata, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Indore, Jaipur, and Pune. Five cities in India are home to B-Y-D showrooms: Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad.

This six-day trip from Mumbai to Delhi was organised as part of the “Sustainable Drive for a Sustainable India” to promote sustainability and EV adoption.
The Blade Battery in India powers the new B-Y-D e6. It has a 580-liter trunk and can start regenerating electricity at speeds as low as 2 kph. A Blade battery rated at 71.7 kWh is installed in the vehicle. According to the manufacturer, the WLTC range of the e6 MPV is 520 km (city) and 415 km (combined) on a single charge.
Senior Vice President of BYD India’s Electric Passenger Vehicle Business Sanjay Gopalakrishnan stated, “The All-New e6 has received positive feedback from our consumers and has gained significant traction across India. By building a genuinely zero-emission ecosystem on a global scale, this development shows our dedication to protecting the environment and lowering carbon emissions. The All-New e6 is the first model in India to use BYD’s puncture-resistant Blade Battery and receives top marks for battery safety.
