The 14-inch IPS display on the ASUS Vivobook 14 Touch and Chromebook Flip CX3400 both has an FHD resolution and an 82 percent screen-to-body ratio. There are both touch and non-touch models of the Vivobook 14. It weighs only 1.4kg, making it lightweight. The Chromebook Flip CX3400, on the other hand, is a 2-in-1 device with a 360-degree convertible hinge and touch screen.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 Touch has an inbuilt Intel Iris Xe GPU with a choice of either a Core i3 or Core i5 processor from the 12th generation. Up to 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage are available. A 42WHr battery that supports 65W fast charging powers the device. The Chromebook Flip CX3400, meanwhile, has an 11th-generation Core i3 processor together with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. A 50WHr battery with 45W charging support powers it. Along with running on Chrome OS, the device has fan-less vapour chamber cooling.
Both the Vivobook 14 Touch and Chromebook Flip CX3400 have aluminium chassis and are MIL-STD810H certified for use in combat. The former has a trackpad-mounted fingerprint scanner and a backlit chiclet keyboard. There is a 720p webcam with a privacy shutter on both computers. Another feature of the Chromebook Flip CX3400 is a 5MP back camera.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 Touch and Chromebook Flip CX3400 both have WiFi 6, Bluetooth, a Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI port, and other connectivity options.
