One of Motorola’s most well-liked low-cost models throughout the years has been the Moto G Play. In January 2021, the company debuted its most recent iteration. Now that a recent source has released renderings and information about the forth coming smartphone, it looks that the firm intends to release a new Moto G Play before the end of 2022.
Tipper Evan Blass have published renderings and details on the upcoming Moto G Play (2022).
Design-wise, the 2022 model has a few notable differences from the previous generation, including a revised camera island that is now located in the upper left corner of the device rather than the centre. Three cutouts that are vertically oriented are on the camera island.
The transition from a water-drop notch to a centred punch-hole, which improves the display’s appearance, is arguably the most noticeable modification. The display still has a noticeable forehead and a large chin bezel, though.
Regarding the technical details, the rumour states that the new gadget would have a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1600. The device’s camera system will have a 16MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone will have a 5MP front camera for taking selfies and making video calls.
The gadget will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 CPU with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU built in. 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM will be added to the chipset. The battery for the gadget is 5,000mAh and supports 10W charging.
It will be fascinating to see whether the business decides to release this gadget with Android GO Edition OS or a complete version of Android. Keep an eye out for further information as we move closer to the device’s introduction.
